"Adam!" Dare exclaimed, turning and attempting to possibly hide the fact that he'd just walking in on her kissing her vampire girlfriend. Somehow, it wasn't possible. He looked between the two vampires, his face growing more and more troubled.
"Dare, what were you doing just now?" The angel peered around her to peek at Chanceri. Chance shrugged and hugged Dare around the waist.
"What do you think she was doing, pop? Wait, you're that angel guy, right? Ha! In  that case, I suppose you would be offended!" She laughed and squeezed Dare a little harder. She was so nervous in the presence of this man, it was unexplainable. Even if she hadn't known about his spiritual status, she would have been able to tell that something was up. There was a pressure pressing down on her, like she had said, it was unexplainable.
Adam turned his wide-eyed stare back to Dare. "You told a human our story?" Dare backed away, fear growing inside of her. He wouldn't kill her, would he? That would solve the apocalypse problem, wouldn't it?
"You never said not to…" Adam's face was turning red, he was more angry than he had been for centuries.
"IT GOES WITHOUT SAYING!" He gritted his teeth, if he snapped now, he could kill her. His dad would be pissed. "You're supposed to be thinking about everything, Dare. You promised."
Dare gaped at him, "You're not serious, are you? Your definition of think it over is to sit on my ass at home and do nothing?"
Adam smacked her across the face, "That's better than sinning to your hearts desire at the earliest hours of the morning! Kissing girls, drinking vodka, that's right, I know what you were doing, acting like… like an immature satanic teenager!"
Dare gasped, she tasted blood in her mouth. This time, it was her own. She spat it out onto Adams lovely white shirt and wiped her mouth. Chanceri growled and leapt at him.
Before Dare could stop her, Chanceri sunk her fangs into the angels neck. He yelped and fell over. The vampress gulped and backed away. Dare grabbed her hand and pulled her in close, waiting to see what happened next. Adam slowly rose from the pavement, muttering under his breath.
"I hope you realize that angel blood, it's filled with poison. You have about twelve hours to live." Chanceri's face was already white, and her hands clammy. Dare stared at the angel.
"You mean… CHANCE IS GOING TO DIE?" Her mouth opened and shut like a fish. Chanceri groaned and Dare turned back to her, franticly kissing her face. "C'mon Chance, you can't die, not like this!" Chance's body went limp and Dare gently eased it to the ground.
Adam smirked, "It's angelic poison, babe, not much you can do for that." There were tears flooding her eyes and spilling down her cheeks now, she was gasping and calling Chanceri's name. The other vampire was not reacting to any of it.
Dare looked up at him desperately, "You…. You can do miracles, right Adam? You could cure her! Save her, Adam!"
Adam tapped his chin, "Well, you saw that she attacked me. I'm not sure how much I want her to be saved. Feisty little demon, she is. Better off without her, Dare. Then again, if you were to go along with the apocalypse situation, maybe we could work something out."
Dare sobbed even louder, she could either let Chanceri die here and now, or actually kill Fail. Her lover, or her best friend slash sister? She couldn't choose, could she? The only way out was the hope that, in the end, this was all a terrible, horrible dream, and she couldn't rely on that.
She looked up at Adam. "Please," she cried, "take mercy on her!" Adam simply laughed and asked of that was what she truly thought angels were, beings full of forgiveness? Dare stopped crying at that. "I could only hope." She replied. With a burst of strength, she knocked Adam to the ground again, slamming her foot into his face. With a whistle, Satori fell from the sky onto Dare's shoulder. The vampress had no idea as to how to do this but…
"Grow, Satori, grow and fly us home!"
The Genillin leapt off Dare's shoulder, and onto the sidewalk. It started shivering… no, not shivering, she was vibrating! Her feet grew to the size of car tires, it's torso the same width and length of a minivan. Satori's black wings stretched across the street, expanding to close to twelve feet each, twenty four feet in total. It cried a loud, piercing screech that caused every neighbour to sprint to their windows. Dare stared as Satori grew, afraid to move. The Genillin bent its knees to the ground so that Dare could hoist Chanceri up onto Satori's back.
Dare clambered on after the trembling, sickly vampire was up. She spat on Adams broken, bloody face.
"Tell God and Satan that they can go fuck themselves. They can't buy me with anything."
With that, Dare yelled out to Satori to fly home. She didn't look at the city below them at all, her focus was on Chanceri, who was sweating and growing more pale by the second. "C'mon, Chance… We can make it! Faster, Satori!"
They finally landed outside the apartment building with a loud but graceful thump. The ground shook, and before anyone could look outside and see, Satori shrunk back to the size of a baseball and jumped up on Dares shoulder. Dare cradled Chanceri's limp, shivering body in her arms and hurried carefully up the stairs to apartment 466.
Dare threw open the door. "Fail! Fail I need help!" She screamed. "We have to hurry… Adam is going to kill her! He's going to kill Chanceri! She's dying, Fail! Dying!" Fail ran into the room, gasping when she saw Chanceri.
"What am I supposed to do?!" Fail looked up at Dare, then back to Chanceri.
Dare shook Fails shoulders, "You're an angel, Fail! You can cure her!!" The angel looked at the dying girl on the floor, Chanceri had curled herself into a moaning, crying ball. "Daaaaare…" she moaned.
Fail didn't disagree. It made sense, but she had no clue as to how to go about it. As she knelt and studied Chanceri, Dare explained what had happened. She finished, and Fail looked up at her. "This may be a long shot… but I have an idea as to what can help her. Let her drink some of your blood, Dare."
The vampire stared at Fail, "You can't be serious." Fail explained quickly.
"I think that it will battle out the angel blood. Think about it, Lucifer is all against God, Ophion would be the anti-Christ, which would make you the anti-Me. Your blood should counter Adams as well." Fail ran to the kitchen to grab a knife. " How much did she drink of his blood? You'll have to give at least twice as much." She called.
Dare raised her wrist to her mouth, then paused. What if this just finished her off? There wasn't time to think. Dare ripped open her own flesh with her fangs, tasting her own tangy blood. She pressed her arm to Chanceri's lips. The sickly vampire coughed, then started to gulp down Dares blood. Dare allowed four swallows, then pulled her wrist away. That should be enough.
Fail ran back in just as Chanceri's face was gaining colour and Dare sat next to her, licking her right wrist. She dropped the knife, there was no need for it now, and ran to the couple. Chanceri was settling into a peaceful sleep. Dare smiled with tears in her eyes. "Thank you." She whispered.
Fail hugged the vampress tightly. "Don't worry about it. I'm starting to have second thoughts about these 'angels' now, though."
A knock sounded on the door, and an all-to familiar voice called out that made Chanceri shudder in her sleep, "Guess who?"
And, yes, Adam entered the apartment, although the door had been locked.
I really dont have much to say, lol. thanks to any fans out there...?
